Workshops
Our workshops are tailor made to your needs, to maximise artistic expression, empowerment and learning. We provide all the equipment and expertise to work with groups in a range of settings, including work in schools, with youth and community centres, at mosques, churches, temples, festivals and live events, with voluntary campaign groups, health agencies, housing and regeneration initiatives.
We recommend an initial consultation, to discuss your group and your groups needs, a suitable timescale, your budget, the form and content of the work and the monitoring and evaluation methods. Workshops range from 2hr introductory sessions to half day and full day sessions, or more extensive weekly learning programmes are on offer designed to enhance group cohesion and develop intermediate skills in the chosen artistic area.
Our database of freelance artists offer workshops in a broad spectrum of areas including, photography, film-making, music and sound recording, animation, podcasting, graphic design, sculpture, painting and mural design and many other tactile art forms.
All our staff are CRB checked and work within our policy guidelines.
Photography Workshops

Bigger Picture Arts has a range of photography workshops aimed at various age groups, with or without physical or mental disabilities. All the workshops use professional digital cameras (and lighting). Our freelance artists breakdown the technical barriers into a language and functionality that everyone of all ages and abilities can understand.
Our workshops are safe and enjoyable, encouraging freedom and expression under structured guidelines. We print our photographs on the day, so that clear results are achieved and enjoyed by everyone involved. We offer numerous workshops and projects in photography and encourage groups to contact us for more details and information.
Filming and Editing Workshops
The Bigger Picture works with schools, community groups, and health services to deliver workshop sessions in filming and editing. Issue based dramas, pop videos and animation workshops are tailor made to your groups needs and desires. With over 15 years experience in schools and colleges our freelance artists deliver professional instruction, guidance and outcomes that people enjoy to showcase.
Our workshops increase the skills and confidence of participants, empowering them to play an active role in future engagement projects.
