BIGGER PICTURE ARTS
I first worked with Adrian in 2010 and was impressed, not only with the high quality of his work, but also with his work ethic. Adrian goes above and beyond to get the best artistic result for himself, his client and more importantly the people who participate. Adrian is effective at engaging with people - people who may not typically engage in creative activity as well as those keen to be involved. I continue to commission Adrian and continue to be impressed with his ability to connect with people and challenge himself artistically to create innovative, beautiful work… work that we are all very proud to be connected to. At the heart of Adrian’s work is the people he co-creates with, and that shines through.”

Thank you so much for making our elderly so happy - you made a great day for them. Much appreciated! ! You are wonderful ! I will contact you again in the future to develop some activities with our users again. Do you know you are a great artist ?"

From the moment Adrian came in to Brass he made relationships with our users - who are not a particularly easy group to work with. They have issues about confidentiality and a reasonable suspicion about people they don't know. Adrian cut straight through this and both old and young participants contributed artwork and ideas to the finished project. The finished mural is extremely beautiful and makes our hall a beautiful place to be in. It stands out as a major piece of art and is bound to become part of Bolton's heritage. We have found working with Adrian a joyful experience and we all like to think we have made a good friend.

The Family Album project was a great opportunity for our tenants to understand their neighbours lives and sharing the stories of cultural heritages by telling their own personal story of how they came to live in Bolton. The development and success of this project was all down to the hard work put in throughout the project by Adrian Barber. It has been a pleasure working with Adrian and we look forward to working with him again on future projects.
